[Gameplay] Can I play the game solo?

Yes! The game has a solo mode, and it is included in the rulebook!

[KS Exclusives] Will you sell the KS Exclusives and the Matsuri Edition after the campaign is over?

The Matsuri Edition will not be available outside of this Kickstarter, but parts of it, like the Day Trip Expansion, may be available to purchase separately through our online store.

[FREE Expansions] How do I qualify to get the FREE expansions?

To celebrate the extraordinary success of Let’s Go! To Japan, we’ve decided to add the Grab Your Passport expansion to every copy of the game (both Retail & Matsuri) free of charge.

For the Daytrip Expansion, you only get it for free if you back at the Festival-Goer pledge (Matsuri edition). If you have pledged at the Sightseer level, you need to purchase it as an add-on. Every copy of Matsuri Edition includes the Daytrip Expansion.

[SG] What Stretch Goals do you have planned?

All stretch goals are gameplay related! As we unlock stretch goals, more cards are added in the game, thus giving you even more choices for your trip to Japan.

[Shipping] Is shipping included?

No. Please take a look at the shipping section at the bottom of the page for more information. When you pledge, KS will tell you shipping is $0, this simply means it is not charged now, not that shipping is free! Please take a look at the shipping section at the bottom of the page for more information.

[Shipping] Do you ship worldwide?

No we do not. The shipping section lists the countries we ship to. If you back the campaign and want your Rewards delivered in a country that we do not ship to you will be responsible for securing freight forwarding at your expense.

[Shipping] Will you ship "EU Friendly"?

We will ship the products into Europe to our Depot with all customs and duties prepaid, and from that Depot to you. You should receive your order without having to pay any additional fees to your local government customs office. If you normally receive “EU Friendly” Kickstarter Rewards without any monies due you should not owe anything when you receive the shipment from this campaign.

[Shipping] How will Brexit affect the delivery of my rewards?

It should have no effect. We’ll ship Rewards destined for the UK to a depot in the UK and avoid shipping them from the EU Depot.

[Taxes] Is VAT included?

No. VAT will be assessed at checkout in the pledge manager.

We will ship to EU addresses from an EU depot. If for some reason your locality requires you to pay a tax or fee beyond that paid when the products were imported into the EU to receive such shipments those costs must be paid by you. We cannot guarantee that there will be no such cost but we plan to use a shipment system similar to that used by most successful EU friendly Kickstarters so if you have in the past received such packages without extra costs you should receive ours without those costs too.

[Taxes] Is GST/ Sales Tax included?

You will see a GST or Sales Tax amount added to your order for shipments into Canada and into certain US states where AEG is obligated to pay sales tax. These taxes will be calculated and paid in the Pledge Manager.

[Pledging] Will I have access to the Pledge Manager if I didn't select a Reward?

If you want to guarantee Kickstarter pricing on the Pledge Manager, you’ll need to pledge at least $5 BY SELECTING THE DAYDREEMER REWARD. If you pledge $1 or any other amount by choosing the “No Rewards” option, then you will not have access to KS pricing on the Pledge Manager.

If you do not back this Kickstarter you’ll be able to make a Late Pledge via the Pledge Manager for a period of time after the campaign ends. Prices & availability for customers who did not back the campaign are subject to change.

[Pledging] How can I get multiple copies of a pledge?

Simply add the amount of the pledge level you want as many times as you want to buy it. So for 2 x Festival-Goer pledge you will need to amend your pledge amount to $138. You will be able to define the exact amount of copies you want during the Pledge Manager.

[Add-Ons] How do I purchase an add-on?

Simply add the amount of the add-on to your pledge. You will need to amend the total amount you pledge for this. During the Pledge Manager, you will be able to define the exact Add-On you wish to purchase.

[Social Goals] Are the stickers for game components?

Nope! It’s just a cool sticker sheet with artwork from the game, that you can stick anywhere, even your Trapper Keeper!

Like the postcards and the luggage tags, they are just cool SWAG we’re adding for the backers on Kickstarter.

[Social Goals] If I order additional add-on copies of Let's Go! To Japan, will I get additional copies of the Social Goals?

The Social Goals are a reward for each Kickstarter backer, and add-on copies of Let’s Go! To Japan do not qualify for more copies of the Social goals.

[Pledge Manager/ BackerKit] My shipping price shows $9,999!

This is the default value until a valid shipping address is entered to prevent orders in countries that we are unable to ship to. Once your address is entered the shipping charge will calculate accordingly.

This value usually indicates an issue with the weight of your order. We do not offer bulk shipping, if you are ordering multiple copies of a game you may need to place separate orders.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
